Scope and operator

PKUP LLC operates playpkup.com. This policy describes the information practices of the website as it is currently implemented, including the beta-interest form at playpkup.com/beta.

This policy does not describe data practices for an unreleased PKUP iPhone or Apple Watch app. In particular, the current website does not ask visitors to provide workout data, Apple Health or HealthKit data, heart-rate data, precise GPS or route data, payment information, or account credentials.

Information the website collects

Information submitted for beta interest

If a visitor submits the beta-interest form, PKUP receives:

• Name
• Email address
• General city or region
• How often the applicant plays pickup soccer
• Whether the applicant currently uses an Apple Watch
• An optional response about why the applicant wants to test PKUP
• The effective date of the Terms of Use presented with the form

Submitting beta interest does not create a PKUP account and does not subscribe the applicant to a newsletter or general marketing list.

Basic technical information

Formspree, which processes the beta form, says it may automatically receive information such as an IP address, browser type, domain name, access time, and referring website address to operate and secure its service. Cloudflare hosts, delivers, and helps secure the production website and may also process ordinary request information—such as an IP address, browser or user-agent information, requested page, referrer, and request time—to deliver the site, maintain security, and diagnose service problems.

How PKUP uses beta information

PKUP uses beta-interest information to:

• Evaluate interest in the PKUP beta
• Select and organize potential beta testers
• Contact applicants about possible PKUP beta participation
• Operate, troubleshoot, and protect the beta application process
• Document which Terms of Use notice accompanied a submission

PKUP does not use the beta form for automated profiling or automated selection. Applying does not guarantee beta access.

Service providers and where information goes

Formspree

PKUP uses Formspree, Inc., an independent form-processing provider, to receive beta-interest submissions and help identify spam or abusive submissions. Formspree is not owned or operated by PKUP. Formspree states that its services are hosted with Amazon Web Services in the United States, that it uses technical and organizational security measures, and that it may process technical request information for service operation, fraud prevention, and security.

Email notifications

Formspree sends submission notifications containing applicant information to a PKUP-controlled Google Workspace email account so authorized PKUP personnel can review and respond to beta interest. This means Google processes the notification email as a provider of the Workspace service. PKUP does not publish the personal inbox address used for these notifications.

Website hosting and delivery

PKUP uses Cloudflare, Inc. to host and deliver the production website and provide related network and security services. Cloudflare processes website requests and service logs needed to serve, protect, and diagnose the static site. PKUP will update this policy if the setup materially changes the practices described here.

Cookies, analytics, and tracking

PKUP has not added website analytics, advertising trackers, marketing pixels, behavioral advertising, or an intentional PKUP cookie to the current site. The site also does not use an account or login system.

This does not mean that no technical data is ever processed. Formspree and the hosting, network, email, or security providers may process request data, logs, or necessary service technologies under their own service configurations and policies. If PKUP later adds analytics, advertising, or other tracking, PKUP will update this policy and provide any appropriate choices before enabling that technology.

When information is shared

PKUP currently discloses information only as needed to:

• Use Formspree to process and protect beta-interest submissions
• Receive and review submission notifications through Google Workspace
• Host, deliver, maintain, and secure the website
• Comply with law or valid legal process, or protect rights, safety, and service security

PKUP does not sell beta-interest information, use it for targeted advertising, or disclose it to data brokers. PKUP also does not treat a beta application as consent to receive general marketing emails.

Retention

If an applicant is not selected for the beta, PKUP may keep their beta-interest information for up to 12 months from the date it was submitted. PKUP will delete it earlier when the information is no longer reasonably needed for the beta application and selection process.

This practical retention rule applies to submission records in Formspree, notification copies in PKUP's Google Workspace account, and any working applicant list. PKUP may retain limited information longer when reasonably necessary for legitimate legal or security needs, including records kept in provider backups under the provider's normal backup lifecycle.

Your choices and privacy requests

Depending on where an applicant lives, they may have rights to ask whether PKUP holds their personal information and to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy. PKUP may need to verify a request and may retain information where permitted or required by law.

Children and minimum age

The current website is a general-audience company and beta-recruitment site; it is not designed as a service for children. The public PKUP beta-interest process is currently limited to people who are 18 or older. If you are under 18, do not submit the beta-interest form.

The form does not ask for a birth date, and PKUP does not offer a parent or guardian consent process for this public beta-interest form. If PKUP learns that someone under 18 submitted information, PKUP will delete it when reasonably practicable, subject to legitimate legal or security needs.

Security

PKUP uses a limited provider path for beta applications: Formspree processes the submission and a PKUP-controlled Google Workspace account receives the notification. Formspree documents encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, monitoring, and other safeguards for its service. Google documents security and data-processing terms for Google Workspace.

No method of internet transmission or storage is completely secure. PKUP limits provider access to authorized personnel who need it for the beta process, uses available account-security controls, and applies the retention rule described above.

Changes to this policy

PKUP may update this policy to reflect changes to the website, providers, operating practices, or legal requirements. An updated policy will identify its effective date. If a change materially affects how previously collected information is used, PKUP will provide additional notice or seek consent where appropriate rather than presenting the new practice as if it always applied.
