Pickup games are real athletic experiences. They carry effort, competition, instinct, friendship, frustration, and the reasons people keep coming back.
Yet most of that participation disappears at the final whistle. There is rarely a lasting record of the games played, the time invested, or the history taking shape across months and years.
PKUP exists to preserve the sessions it can actually record and help athletes understand what that evidence means over time—without pretending every pickup game needs to become a professional match.

PKUP starts with pickup soccer and a real current testing setup: Apple Watch records the live session, and iPhone gives athletes a place to review the history PKUP retains.
The technology enables the experience. It is not the identity. PKUP records and interprets real participation; it does not turn pickup into fantasy status, rank an athlete’s skill, or pretend every session produces every answer.

Participation matters
The game counts before a metric appears. Showing up, competing, and playing are meaningful on their own.
Evidence matters
PKUP should interpret only what the available evidence can support. An honest absence is better than an impressive guess.
Privacy matters
Athlete data should serve the athlete first. Performance, health, and location information deserve particular care.
Real play comes first
The product should support the game, not turn the game into an engagement mechanic or another obligation.
Data is not identity
Performance data can add context. It does not equal an athlete’s skill, worth, or whole athletic identity.

PKUP is beginning with one sport and one current device setup. The longer ambition is a richer home for real-world pickup participation—across more of the sports athletes keep playing and more of the history they build over time.
